Finished Houses, Barns, and Additions

We built this house in 2006. About 2/3 of the timber frame lumber came right from the driveway and site clearing. The house is a simple rectangle but the curved tie beams, braces, forked porch posts and other timber elements give it some real flair. We achieved a 5 Stars Plus energy rating, the highest possible, thanks to our unique enclosure package of cellulose-filled site-built panels, radiant heat system, and well-chosen appliances. David and his family moved into this house in 2007 and heated it with 1.5 cords of wood and about 150 gallons of propane last winter - not bad for a house in Vermont with 1800 sf finished space with a 1000 sf walkout basement. The house is available for client visits.
