Barn at The Mountain School

The Mountain School constructed this barn in 2002-2003. David Hooke served as Clerk of the Works, and Josh Jackson was timber framing instructor. Under their direction, students and faculty spent 3000 hours cutting the joints in some 350 timbers. Then in August 2003, these students and alumni directed by the Timber Framers Guild raised the frame and sided the building in a week. This project was the start of the partnership between Hooke and Jackson, and the genesis of TimberHomes LLC.  For the full story of the barn, click here.
