The Mountain
School constructed this barn in 2002-2003. David Hooke served as Clerk
of the Works, and Josh Jackson was timber framing instructor. Under
their direction, students and faculty spent 3000 hours cutting the
joints in some 350 timbers. Then in August 2003, these students and
alumni directed by the Timber Framers Guild raised the frame and sided
the building in a week. This project was the start of the partnership
between Hooke and Jackson, and the genesis of TimberHomes LLC. For
